Sign Up for a UMS Account

If you do not currently have a Unified Messaging System (UMS) account, then you will need to request a UMS account be created for you. Once the account has been created, you may then download and install the appropriate software and configure it for use with UMS.

1. Request a UMS account
   (This will open in a new window which will require your JPL Username and Password.)

2. Download/Install Office — In order to utilize UMS, you will need either the Outlook (for PC) client or Entourage (for Mac) client. These clients come as part of Microsoft Office, which is installed by default on most systems. If you do not already have Office 2007 (Windows) or 2008 (Mac) installed, then you will need to download and install Office 2007 for Windows or Office 2008 for Mac. Once downloaded, launch the installer and Install Microsoft Office.

3. Setup Outlook/Entourage — Once your account has been created, you will be notified and may proceed with the Email Client Configuration and Migration (moving your data).
   • For Windows:
          Setup Outlook 2007 for UMS | Migrate Old Email Data to Outlook
   • For Mac OSX:
          Setup Entourage 2008 for UMS | Migrate Old Email Data to Entourage
