Entourage Unsupported Features
The JPL UMS team is coordinating with the vendor to add these features to upcoming versions of Entourage.
- A meeting organizer cannot view all individuals invited to a meeting – on the Scheduling tab.
Meeting organizers are unable to effectively view schedules of all attendees when the attendee
list is longer than about 20.
- Once a meeting starts, meeting organizer cannot “view attendee status” – this link, which is
accessible before the meeting starts, immediately disappears from the meeting notification in the
organizer’s calendar when the meeting begins.
- A meeting organizer can’t designate an invitee as required or optional – rather than having
everyone required. (This features works in OWA Light, but not in Entourage.)
- Entourage 2008 cannot synchronize tasks and notes.
- Entourage 2008 cannot synchronize categories.
- Sent Items don’t sync to the Exchange Server in a timely manner, which impacts users moving
between two or more computers, or between a computer and a mobile device.
- An Entourage user can create local groups with Contacts but can't replicate those groups to
the Exchange Server.
- Outlook for Windows offers users the ability to view their mail without caching it locally to
the computer. Entourage currently operates in permanent "Cached Exchange Mode" only.
- Entourage users can’t create server-side filters.
- OWA-lite doesn’t provide multiple calendar views – at a minimum, users should be able to
see a week view.
- Entourage does not allow side-by-side calendar views for those managing multiple calendars.
